Vern has over 15 years of marketing and marketing research experience. Prior to founding FOCUSED Marketing Research, Inc., he worked for several Fortune 100 companies, advancing through a variety of positions in sales, marketing research and brand management. His high-level marketing experience with both global and national brands makes Vern truly different than the average qualitative researcher.

His experience as a marketing professional, coupled with his talent for clearly understanding the objectives and delivering actionable information is what sets Vern apart from the rest. He is adept at working with people from a broad range of backgrounds, making them feel at ease in discussing any issue. Vern has worked with leading companies across a broad range of industries.

Vern has an MBA in Marketing and had a graduate assistantship specialized in consumer buying behavior. This training is evident in his level of understanding about how consumers react to questions and knowledge to ask the right question at the right time.

Vern is a guest lecturer on qualitative marketing research at the Wharton School of Business and at the A.C. Nielson Graduate School for Marketing Research.
